Short films are a genre that has never been too popular with the mass audience. Such pictures last no more than half an hour. But at the same time, they contain all the necessary elements of a full-fledged story: the plot, development, climax and, of course, a spectacular finale. And if a big movie is most often dizzying special effects, star actors and big fees. That short meter attracts, first of all, with an interesting story. This is what formed the basis of advertising for the Moscow short film festival Short Shot Fest.

Client: Miss X 2023
Miss X – brand of lingerie for special occasions (If you know what we mean), which is mainly sold in the Eastern Europe market. Where women are heavenly beautiful, and handsome men are so few, that even the hotties have to try hardest. Eastern Europe is one of the most competitive lingerie markets in the world.
We faced the task to make this brand so sexual that you couldn't just walk by. Identity was supposed to make people think about sex. So that looking at this brand makes you want to break taboos.
First, we did certain research. However, this time in addition to standard market and competitor study we added a deep semiotic analysis of what sex is in the first place? What we find erotic and arousing, and what we find vulgar. Where we draw the line and what are the taboos in society. And most importantly, which of these taboos are so bad that they turn you on even more! It took us about 60 hours to do research. And another 60 hours to develop a design concept based on the study of human sexuality.
Research. Tell me your secret dirty desire...
In order to show the brand's sexuality, we built the identity on the contrast. We bonded the church aesthetics of virginity, forbiddance and sins, together with provocative images of the female body and modern fashion aesthetics. The church Gothic font made the brand strict and sinful at the same time.
Design&Identity. Nothing sells sex better than church
Boldness of the design concept often raises many fears. At times it looks too risky. It was important for us to help the brand team overcome doubts and accept the new brand image as smoothly as possible. At this stage we actually bring a psychologist into the project. She helps the entire team unite around one goal. As a result, everybody agreed that there is nothing more convincing than the reaction of people themselves. We arranged the test launch of the new identity in one communication channel only. And the consumers' natural response to the new brand image put all fears away.
